Paris-SG
vs
VfL Wolfsburg
Founded in 1973 as VfR Eintracht Wolfsburg, the club officially became the women's section of VfL Wolfsburg in 2003. This move took the club into a new dimension, leading to a period of national and European domination in the early 2010s.
In 2013, the club enjoyed an exceptional season, winning the league, cup and Champions League. The following year, they again won the European Cup, beating Sweden's Tyreso.
Between 2016 and 2020, the Louves' Champions League run came to an end each time against Olympique Lyonnais. A year earlier, in 2015, it was Paris Saint-Germain who blocked the Germans' path to the ½ final.

In April 2015, Wolfsburg and Paris Saint-Germain met in the semi-finals of the Champions League. Defeated 2 - 0 in the first leg in Paris, the Wolves were unable to reverse the trend despite a 2-1 victory in the return leg in Germany.
