Dijon Métropole Handball

Founded in 1942 in Dijon, Côte-d'Or, Dijon Métropole Handball is one of the biggest clubs in the region. The club reached Division 1 for the first time in its history at the end of the 2008/09 season, and since then has regularly moved up between D1 and D2.

At the end of a high-quality 2022/23 season, which saw the DMH finish in 2nd place behind Saran, the club was finally crowned Proligue Champion, following successive victories over Tremblay and Saran. The best attack and defense in the league, Dijon was able to count on Wassim Helal at the top of his game in the cage, with the highest save percentage in the league (35%).

The club has the distinction of having been the first club in mainland France for Didier Dinart, the former player and then coach of the French national team. The French pivot spent 3 seasons there between 1993 and 1996, before joining Montpellier.

In their last meeting, on December 16, 2018, the Rouge et Bleu won 29 - 25 in the Coupe de France at Dijon. Back then, Paris Saint-Germain's squad included Thierry Omeyer, Mikkel Hansen and Luc Abalo.

Jakon Holm left-back 05/09/1995

Born on September 05, 1995 in Esbjerg, in the Jutland region of Denmark, Jakob Holm is a Danish left-back. After spending his early years at his hometown club Ribe-Esbjerg HH, he moved to Fuchse Berlin in 2018, with whom he won the European League (C3) in 2023. With the Danish national team, he was crowned World Champion in 2021 and 2023, alongside Mikkel Hansen and Mathias Gidsel.

Born on July 16, 1982 in Monastir, Tunisia, Wassim Helal is one of Tunisia's leading goalkeepers. After spending most of his career with ES Tunis, with whom he won 8 league titles, he discovered the French league in 2016, when he signed for Dijon MH. In the 2022/23 season, at the age of 40, he was one of the key figures in Dijon's Proligue championship success.

The Palais des Sports Jean-Michel Geoffroy

The Palais des Sports Jean-Michel Geoffroy is the official home of Dijon Métropole Handball. Inaugurated on January 21, 1977, the venue also hosts the home games of Dijon Basket, which plays in the Betclic Elite league.

Prior to the opening of the Zenith de Dijon, the venue hosted numerous concerts by renowned artists, including Serge Gainsbourg, Sting, Joe Cocker and Supertramp.
