Tremblay-en-France Handball

After starting out as Vert Galant Sportif Tremblay in 1972, the club adopted the name Tremblay-en-France Handball from 2002 onwards, coinciding with a successful promotion push to the second division. Just two seasons later, in 2005, the club earned a place in the top flight of French handball for the first time ever.  Relegated in 2016, Tremblay went straight back up to the Liqui Moly Starligue the following season as second division champions.

Coached by Benjamin Braux, who has been coaching between 2017 and 2019, the Yellow and Black finished the 2017/18 at a creditable 11th spot, maintaining their elite status through crucial victories over other candidates for the drop such as Saran, Massy and Ivry.

One of Tremblay’s most memorable seasons was 2009/10, when they clinched third place in the table, reached the final of the French Cup, where they lost to Montpellier, and enjoyed a run to the quarter-finals of the EHF Cup Winners’ Cup (a competition in which they would finish runners-up the following year), where Spanish outfit BM Granollers proved one hurdle too far.

On June 2020, the club appointed Joël Da Silva as new head coach, after having coach Toulouse and Saint-Raphaël.

The club is back in the Liqui Moly Starligue since its title of Proligue champion acquired in 2016/17, ahead of Pontault-Combault and Istres.

After 11 games without defeat, the Red and Blue were determined to continue on this path and that's what they did by winning 32-41 with Mikkel Hansen in a very good form and best scorer of the match.

On November 11, 2020, the Parisians have been travelling to Tremblay, as part of Liqui Moly Starligue. The Red and Blue went victorious 33 - 30, with 8 goals from Ferran Sole.
