Saran Loiret Handball

Founded in 1974 as the handball section of the Union Sportive Municipale de Saran omnisports club, it was in 2016 that Saran Loiret Handball was born, coinciding with the club's first accession to the first division.

Champion of the Proligue in 2016 and 2021, the Loiret club has achieved a superb 2020-21 season, concluded in 1st position ahead of Pontault-Combault. With more than 30 goals per game, it was also the best attack of the championship. Liqui Moly Starligue defenses are warned.

Born March 22th, 1995, in Voerendaal in the Netherlands, Luc Steins is a well-known player in the French championship, he joined it in 2016 with Massy Essonne HB. After having played in Tremblay and Toulouse, he joined Paris Saint-Germain in November 2020 as a medical joker following the injury of Nikola Karabatic. At the end of the 2020-21 season, he will be elected best center-back and best player of the championship. Born on April 22nd, 1991, Quentin Eymann has been playing for Saran Loiret Handball since the 2016-17 season after completing his training with Selestat. The French right back was one of the great architects of the 2021 Proligue title of the Septors. Behind the title of top scorer Theo Avelange Demouge, Quentin Eymann was one of the main offensive options of Saran, with 126 goals scored at more than 60% in shooting efficiency, his best percentages since his arrival in the Orléans.

The Palais des Sports of Orléans

The Saran Loiret Handball is used to receiving the big teams of the Liqui Moly Starligue at the Palais des Sports of Orléans, with a capacity much higher than that of the Halle du Bois Joly. With a little more than 3,200 seats, many events are also organized in the venue, such as the Orleans Tennis Open or the Orleans International Badminton Challenge.
