The Parisians against FC Barcelone
PSG-Barcelona is now a Champions League classic of these past years. If the Parisian were eliminated after an extraordinary scenario in 2017 (5-6 on aggregate), we also remember the fantastic performance of the Red and Blue at the Camp Nou on April 10th, 2013 with despite the elimination, a promess of an ambitious european future.
On February 16, 2021, the Red and Blue have been travelling to Camp Nou on 2020-21 Champions League Round of 16. After a penalty converted by Messi, the Parisians made a XXL performance to finally win 4 - 1. With a hat-trick, Mbappé illuminated the match with all his talent, as well as Verratti, king of the midfield that evening.
On March 10, 2021, the second leg at Parc des Princes ended with a 1 - 1 draw. Kylian Mbappé on penalty and Leo Messi with a great left foot strike were the two scorers of the match.
Players to follow Duel
Having trained at Valencia, which he joined at the age of 10 in 2011, Kang-in Lee is no stranger to La Liga and Barcelona. Before signing for Paris Saint-Germain, the Korean winger spent five seasons in the Spanish league, first with Valencia and then with Mallorca. On 1 September 2019, he took part in his first Champions League match, against Chelsea Blues. He would go on to win his first title with Los Ches that same year, in the Copa del Rey against Barcelona.
Since his arrival at Barça on July 1, 2014, and after a remarkable progression at M'gladbach, Ter Stegen became the number 1 goalkeeper of the Blaugrana, a decisive player who has won the confidence of 4 successive coaches since 2014. The German goalkeeper knows well the qualities of the Parisian attack, he has often faced them recently in the Champions League, and played alongside both Messi and Neymar in the past. The memory of February 16, 2021 and Kylian Mbappé's hat-trick is certainly still in his mind, and he will be as always the last backbone to protect the nets of the Catalan club.
