The Reims Stadium in brief

Founded in 1968, the women section of Stade de Reims is a pioneer in the development of women's football. Indeed, the Stade de Reims team took part in the Division 1 Arkema championship in 1974 and was a finalist in the first eight editions, with 5 French championship titles to its name. However, after a decline in the women's section in the départemental division, the club had a financial settlement in 1992.

It was not until 2014 that a women's team was re-established in Reims, coached by Florent Ghisolfi. In the 2018-19 season, the women from Reims won the French Division 2 title, joining the D1 Arkema championship at the dawn of the 2019-20 season. For their return to the elite of the French championship, the Stade de Reims finished in a convincing 8th place, ahead of Dijon and Soyaux.

The team has been coached since 2017 by Amandine Miquel, a former professional player who played for Chelsea and Juvisy.
