Nicknamed Le Chaudron, AS Saint-Etienne’s home ground was built in 1930 and is the seventh-largest stadium in France, boasting a capacity of 42,000.
The stadium hosted matches at the 1998 FIFA World Cup, the 2003 Confederations Cup and UEFA EURO 2016, and is also one of the venues for the 2023 Rugby World Cup and the men’s and women’s Olympic football tournaments at Paris 2024.
In the 2022/23 season, the Green went victorious against Quevilly (4 - 2), Paris FC (4 - 2) and Bordeaux (2 - 0).
Situated in the north of the city, in the Carnot Le Marais district, the stadium is served by lines T1 and T2 of the city’s tram network (Geoffroy Guichard stop), and the No8, 9 and S0 bus lines (Le Marais stop).
