Limoges Hand 87
At the beginning of the 2000s, the Limousin Handball League had the ambition to create a top-level club. Thus, in 2005, HB Limoges was created following the merger of the clubs ASPTT Limoges and CAPO Limoges, becoming Limoges Hand 87 the following year. The 2014/15 season then marked a turning point in the history of the club, with the title of National 1 champion, synonymous with a move up to the Pro Ligue for the first time. At the end of the 2019/20 Pro Ligue season, the Limoges players were promoted to the Liqui Moly Starligue, after finishing second in the standings behind Cesson Rennes Métropole Handball.
In terms of prize list, the club has 1 National 2 and 1 National 1 championship title. Their best result in the French Cup, as well as in the League Cup, remains to this day a Round of 16.
The first team will be coached by Alberto Entrerrios from July 2022, former player of Barcelona and Nantes, who was the head coach oh the H since the 2019/20 season.
